Langkawi Revisited

Since we liked Langkawi so much the first time (I SWEAR it had nothing to do with the cheap booze), we decided to take Di and Vanessa there for our first trip. Once again, Langkawi did us well.

The first order of the day was obviously to reform the biker gang. I think we made an awesome gang... especially when Di broke 10 km/h.

After deciding it would take much to long trying to get around the island at a maximum speed of 15 km/h, Di decided to trade in the bike and take over the driving of the car... I'm still not sure if that was a better idea or not...

Our first stop was Seven Wells. Here there is a nice waterfall, at the top of which are 7 small pools (or wells, I suppose). Very relaxing.

This is the scenery at the top of Seven Wells.

On our way back from the Wells, we ran into a bunch of monkey's. Now, they say not to feed the monkeys because they tend to get aggressive.... so of course that meant that Di should try to give the monkey as many crackers as possible. She was lucky though, because the monkey didn't attack her - it attacked ME in an attempt to get my coke. Yay.

From there, we took a cable car ride up the mountain (710 meters). Clearly Di was not the most comfortable with this situation.

The view from the cable car.

At the top of the mountain, you could walk between peaks on a funky suspended bridge.

Now it was my turn to be mildy uncomfortable...

At the bottom of the mountain, there was a random bunny feeding pen - and there were clearly way too many bunnies here.

After stocking up on bunnies, we went to the crocodile farm. They were hungry.. and rather boring... until Vanessa got bored and snuck up to the door of the pen and rattled it as hard as she could. That got them going...

When we got back to the hotel, we discovered that the monkey may have had an effect on Di after all... or maybe it was that sweet sweet Langkawi booze.
